Illegal drug dealers have new ways of packaging their products, including pressing fentanyl into candy-shaped objects. With Halloween fast approaching, a night of fun could turn to horror if parents are not careful.

Earlier today, the Guilford County Sheriff's Department released a video to their social media featuring a Triad woman who lost her granddaughter to an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2021. Her granddaughter Ashley who 23 years old, had ingested "rainbow fentanyl", a fentanyl-pressed pill that resembles candy due to its colorful coloring and shape.
