HANNIBAL (WGEM) - The Mark Twain Area Habitat for Humanity has been hard at work building houses for those in need.
With the holidays just around the corner, it is always important to give back. Habitat for Humanity have done just that for this lucky family, Wednesday, along with volunteers. The Hannibal Tree Foundation donated a river birch to the family set to move in.
Habitat officials said they want to be efficient with the build, but they also want to make sure the future homeowner is part of the process.
“We are, you know, in good terms of being able to do it,” said Paul Ewert, board chair member of the Mark Twain Area Habitat for Humanity. “Some of the construction processes take a lot of time. The other thing is that we are very picky about how it looks. And so, rather than rush
