ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Two people were arrested after police found $18,000 worth of merchandise inside a hotel room on Monday.
According to the Chesterfield Police Department, officers responded to the Sunglass Hut at 18521 Outlet Boulevard on Monday for a report of larceny.
The manager told police she noticed some slots missing when she came into the store that day, and then saw two people on a security camera taking sunglasses from the store the day prior.
Police say the sunglasses were valued at over $1,300.
The suspects’ vehicle was later found at a hotel. After searching their room, officers found $18,000 worth of merchandise.
One of the suspects admitted to stealing from seven different stores at the Chesterfield Premium Outlet Mall. In addition, both of them admitted
