Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire in Hartford Thursday morning.
The fire broke out just after 9:30 a.m. in a three-story brick apartment building on Wethersfield Avenue.

According to fire officials, the fire started in the basement and spread to the first and second floors.
Two people had to be rescued from the building, including one person who was rescued from a third-floor window, fire officials said.
The two people who were taken to the hospital sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No firefighters were injured.
Hartford's special services unit and the Red Cross are assisting the residents who are displaced.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
