An umpire has been arrested after he allegedly inappropriately touched three softball players in Meriden, police said.
The police department said a man in his 60s is accused of inappropriately touching the students over the course of two softball games.

He was taken into custody last week on an unrelated charge and was later brought to Meriden police headquarters where he was processed and released.
Authorities said the umpire, who is from Fairfield, is facing charges including seven counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
The man posted a $90,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.
