SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A man is behind bars after an aggravated kidnapping and assault that took place Tuesday and ended with his arrest Wednesday.
According to Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sgt. Aaron Benson, a call came into authorities from the victim's friend around 1 p.m. on Tuesday that she had been kidnapped. The investigation started that afternoon and continued into Wednesday, which led to a standoff in Lincoln County in the afternoon.
Nicholas Sletten, 50, was arrested for aggravated kidnapping on a $500,000 cash-only bond, along with aggravated assault and burglary charges.
