SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Seven positions at South Dakota Public Broadcasting have been saved after federal funding cuts threatened to cut 15 positions earlier this year.

In August, the organization announced it lost 100% of its federal funding, which amounted to 22% of its budget. This funding cut was expected to lead to a loss in 15 staff positions and a reduction in programming.

However, thanks to community support and emergency fundraising, SDPB will be able to retain seven of those nearly-lost positions.
