Some Chattanooga residents are getting a heads up about a code enforcement operation that is planned for next week.

On Thursday, the city's Land Development Office (LDO) of Public Works said it will dedicate its entire inspection team to a targeted, systematic inspection initiative, that is usually called a “blitz”.

The blitz, which is "tentatively scheduled" for November 3-4, will be held in District 1, according to the city.

City officials said the inspection team will look at as many addresses as possible in the district with the goal of improving "neighborhood safety and livability across the community".

Inspectors will be placing "Notices of Violation” tags on properties if a key area is found to be out of compliance.
