“We’ve identified traffic lights within our system that are due for replacement due to age and wear-and-tear,” Drew Hadfield, town infrastructure services director, told council.
Hadfield said the two affected intersections are at 49th Avenue and 51st Street (near IGA and Home Hardware) and 52nd Ave. and 47th St. (near Whitecourt Central School).
The project would be broken into two phases, the first being replacing the traffic lights, Hadfield said.
