SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — As Halloween festivities begin across Louisiana, State Troopers are reminding families to make safety a top priority while celebrating.
With neighborhoods expected to be filled with children in costumes and excited trick-or-treaters, troopers are urging parents, guardians, and drivers to stay alert and help keep the night fun and tragedy-free.
To ensure a safe Halloween, the Louisiana State Police shared several safety reminders: • Be visible: Carry a flashlight or glow stick, and use reflective tape or clothing to help drivers see children after dark. • Choose safe costumes: Avoid masks that block vision or breathing.
