KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A former metro area principal has been sentenced after pleading guilty to driving under the influence with a minor in his vehicle.
Johnson County, Kansas, District Court records filed on Thursday, Oct. 30, indicate that Brian J. Dolezal, 48, has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with a child present.
Per his plea agreement, a count of aggravated child endangerment, which had previously been filed against Dolezal, was dropped.

On Thursday, court documents indicated that Dolezal had been sentenced to serve 1 year of supervised probation with an underlying condition of 6 months in prison.
Dolezal was also ordered to serve a 5-day jail sentence starting on Nov.
