BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) - A student’s tip to school officials led to the arrest of an 18-year-old classmate who brought a loaded handgun to school, preventing the weapon from entering the building, according to police and court documents.

Cameron Blake Kopfer was charged Tuesday with one count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office. He was given a cash-only bond of $10,000.

Kopfer was taken into custody about 4 p.m. Monday outside the Scott Educational Center after police received a report that a student had brought a weapon to school.
