LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - One of the coolest mornings yet is expected Friday morning, but that will set the stage for a great Halloween!

Widespread 40’s are expected around sunrise Friday, with low-to-mid 40’s expected away from the immediate coast. An isolated area or two in our northern parishes may even approach the upper 30’s. Make sure to have a sweater or light jacket as you head out the door.

The rest of Halloween looks great including for trick-or-treating time! Highs near 70 are expected, and temperatures will fall from the mid 60’s to upper 50’s during trick-or-treating. So there are no tricks in this forecast.
