SLOAN, Iowa (KCAU) — Second time's the charm for the Westwood Community Schools as officials are hoping to pass a bond in roughly five days.
The Westwood Community Schools is asking its community to approve a $9.3 million bond to help improve the school district.
"We focused on safety and students," said Westwood Community Schools Superintendent Jay Lutt.

Westwood's K-12 building was built back in the 1980s, and officials say there are multiple rooms in the school that haven't been updated since then.
