The King has begun the formal process to strip the titles from Andrew , including Duke of York, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

The monarch's brother will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and not as a prince, and he will move from his Royal Lodge residence into "private accommodation". It's believed the removal applies to The Prince's titles of Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh and the style "His Royal Highness".

The honours affected would be Prince Andrew's Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order. The Palace also confirmed that Andrew has agreed to leave Royal Lodge as his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein continue to cause controversy.
