NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The daughter of a Midstate sheriff was found guilty of child abuse Thursday.

Sarah Fuson, the daughter of Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson, worked at a daycare in Clarksville. She was accused of abusing a toddler in 2023. RELATED: Daughter of Montgomery Co. sheriff under investigation by TBI

A doctor testified the child suffered an injury to her skull. Video was also shown of Fuson shoving the child in a high chair, which left bruising on her arm.

The verdict comes more than two years after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation in Fuson.

She’ll be sentenced in December.
