The Indiana Daily Student will continue publishing print editions for the rest of the 2025-2026 school year after Indiana University administrators reversed course on their decision to cancel print earlier this month.

The IDS announced print publication will continue in a letter from the editor published Thursday . The next print edition will hit newsstands Nov. 20.

IU’s twin decisions earlier this month to fire the IDS’s adviser and stop the print edition drew national attention and sparked allegations of censorship from media and free speech advocates. In the wake of the actions, several alumni announced they were cancelling future financial contributions to the university.
