BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — In a letter from the editors on Thursday, the Indiana Daily Student has announced it will continue printing through the rest of the school year.
Following the firing of student media coordinator Jim Rodenbush, on Oct. 14, after he reportedly refused to comply with an order not to include any news in the Oct. 16 Homecoming edition. Indiana University shut down the print edition of the IDS on Oct. 15.
Rodenbush is now suing the school, claiming the university violated his free speech rights when he was fired earlier this month.
The IDS stated that Indiana University has "backtracked" on the decision to cut the future IDS print editions for the rest of the school year.
The next issue is scheduled to print on Nov. 20.
