BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Indiana University student newspaper will be back in print next month, the paper's editors announced Thursday night.

The editors of the Indiana Daily Student posted a letter on the newspaper's website saying the university has "backtracked" on a decision to cut print editions of the paper through the rest of the school year. Staff plans to have a print issue available on Nov. 20.

The letter said the university also dropped its directive prohibiting the paper from printing news items.

"We want to make it clear that this is a win for the IDS and for student media across the country," editors Mia Hilkowitz and Andrew Miller wrote.
