PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The family of a man shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent says they are being kept in the dark about the incident.
His wife, Anahi, shared her emotional story with Arizona’s Family, explaining her husband was on his way to work near I-17 and Dove Valley Road on Wednesday when the shooting occurred. Now, she’s struggling to get any information from authorities.
“He would get home and hug the kids. And to see that he didn’t get here yesterday, it really hurts a lot, because I always wait for him here [at home],” Anahi, a mother of two, tearfully stated during the interview.
Anahi said her husband, Jose Garcia-Sorto, was shot by an ICE officer Wednesday morning.
Homeland Security states the incident began when an ICE agent attempted to stop a car
