JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Multiple arrests were made on Thursday, oct. 16, in an operation conducted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office alongside multiple other law enforcement agencies.

According to the JCSO, Operation Alliance Shield was conducted in partnership with the Argo Police Department, the Birmingham Police Department, the FBI, the Fultondale Police Department, the Gardendale Police Department, the Tarrant Police Department, the Vestavia Police Department and the Bessemer Police Department.

The operation focused on the northern and eastern areas of Jefferson County.
