WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Two people were forced out of their home after a fire broke out in a three-story apartment building early Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 12:40 a.m. at 480 South Main Street.
Companies arrived to find a fire in the rear of the first floor surrounding a propane heater.
Firefighters opened walls around the fire area and extinguished flames that had extended into the walls.
Other units searched the building to clear upper floors of victims and smoke.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is relocating the two displaced occupants.
