On Friday at 4:08 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated coastal flood advisory in effect until 8 a.m. for Ocean County.
"Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The coastal flood advisory is primarily confined to the back bays of Barnegat Bay, Rehoboth Bay, Indian River Bay Inlet, Jefferson Creek, and Little Assawoman Bay through Friday morning's high tide cycle."
