Drivers can expect to encounter some ghosts and goblins in their travels this evening as children go door-to-door trick-or-treating.

RNC Constable Stephanie Myers says it’s important to keep safety front of mind.

She says it’s important to choose or create costumes that are visible and that don’t obstruct the wearer’s vision.

She suggests “bright, reflective clothing. Have your flashlights with you. You can never have too many glowsticks, you can stick them everywhere, there are tons of options for neck, arms, everywhere. Visibility is our main thing.” Myers is also advising that drivers be aware of increased foot traffic, especially in subdivisions.
