BENGALURU: The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is taking action against those who litter the streets by dumping garbage at their doorsteps and imposing a fine of Rs 2,000. The GBA staff have already dumped garbage at 218 houses and collected a total fine of Rs 2.8 lakh from litterbugs.
In one instance, a woman was caught on camera dumping garbage in Ganganagar, RT Nagar, and was made to collect the garbage herself.
The GBA marshals waited at the spot and videographed the woman as she dumped the garbage, after which she took it back. This initiative aims to teach people a lesson about proper waste disposal.
