NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Staffing issues have led to a ground delay at Nashville International Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA issued the advisory Friday morning, stating that delays could last until 10 a.m. to 4:59 p.m.

According to the FAA, ground delays are implemented to "control air traffic volume to airports where the projected traffic demand is expected to exceed the airport's acceptance rate for a lengthy period of time."
Just before 10 a.m., BNA officials took to social media to share that the ground delay was due to "an air traffic control staffing shortage."
