STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A chunk of Social Security recipients are going to go without a payment in November, and it has nothing to do with the government’s weeks long shutdown.

Based on the Social Security payment calendar, Americans who receive Supplemental Security Income will get their November payment on Oct. 31.

This is because the traditional day that Supplemental Security Income is divested to recipients is the first of the month. However, with Nov. 1 falling on a Saturday, the administration made the decision to transition the payment date to the nearest weekday: Friday, Oct. 31.

The rest of Social Security’s payments will go out on time as usual, as listed here:

Nov. 12: Social Security recipients born between the 1st and 10th of their birth month

Nov. 19: Social Security recip
