Edmonton police are hoping the public can help their investigation after a pedestrian was struck by a Jeep on Wednesday night near West Edmonton Mall.
Police were called at roughly 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday to the area of 178 Street and 90 Avenue where a pedestrian was struck by an oncoming Jeep, police said in a Thursday news release.
The pedestrian, a 25-year-old man, was walking south on the road at 178 Street when he ran across the centre median and was struck by the Jeep driving north.
Emergency crews treated the pedestrian and took him to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, a 24-year-old, was unharmed and remained on scene to cooperate with the police investigation, which is being run by the EPS Major Collisions Investigation Section (MCIS).
