Teachers have been back on their jobs for half a week after being ordered back to work via Bill 2, the province’s Back to School Act, so it’s a bit early to expect clarity on how the remainder of the school year will play out.

But in talking to parents from across the city, Postmedia is hearing some very contrasting accounts of how schools will handle extracurricular activities, from sports teams to drama groups and yearbook clubs.

At Ross Sheppard High School, football players are being polled to see whether or not they will return to play out the season. Strathcona High School will play an abbreviated season, which will see the football team go right to the playoffs.
