NEW YORK — After more than a year of contract negotiations and very public statements made by several players in the WNBA and WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, both sides have agreed to a 30-day extension on contract negotiations, according to The Athletic. The league and the players union now have until Nov. 30 to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement.

The WNBAPA and the WNBA have not seen eye-to-eye on contract negotiations for the past year, as women's basketball has exploded, and players in the league want to see the revenue from the boom in popularity.
