NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WBTV) - A man was arrested at a South Carolina airport after he allegedly made “terroristic” threats while on an airplane this past weekend.

Sister-station reported that the man -- 27-year-old Chad Andrew Svatosky -- was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 26 at the Charleston International Airport.

WCSC reported that the JetBlue flight crew claimed Svatosky said that “Everybody needed to grab their pitchforks and torches because the plane was going to get lit up” prior to boarding. The station also reported that passengers heard him say he had a bomb.

Despite the claims, WCSC reported that Svatosky -- who lives in Massachusetts -- denied saying anything about a bomb, and that his comments referred to riots in Chicago.
