BEMIDJI — Jake Hill’s teammates call him a lot of names.
They’ve dubbed Bemidji State redshirt senior wide receiver the “slim reaper” because of his slender 6-foot, 185-pound frame. They also call Hill, 24, “Unc,” a slang term for an old person.
“They’re always giving me a hard time, saying I’m old, I’m 24, I should be out of college,” Hill said, smiling.
If his teammates look past his age, they might find other apt descriptors. Talented. Explosive. Game-changer. Hill certainly has the stats to back them up, too.
