KENT, Ohio — Kent police report that a 19-year-old man is in custody after allegedly firing gunshots inside Bar Lucci on North Water Street Thursday night.

According to a release, as staff began clearing patrons from the bar, a fight broke out. During the altercation, a man pulled out a handgun and fired a shot.

Several patrons ran from the bar and alerted a nearby officer who had already been responding after hearing the gunfire while on patrol, police said. Officers arrived moments later and secured the scene. No injuries were reported.

Kent police say "patrol officers and detectives worked collaboratively to investigate this incident and process the crime scene."

Police arrested 19-year-old Jack Massie of Akron in connection with the incident. He is charged with felonious assault
