SURRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a crash Friday morning in Surprise.

First responders were called to the reported crash just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue .

Police confirmed multiple people were taken to the hospital after the crash. The severity of their injuries is unclear.

As crews work to clear the debris, all eastbound lanes of Waddell Road are closed. Sarival Avenue is restricted for drivers turning onto eastbound Waddell. The closures are expected to last until about 12:30 p.m., according to Surprise PD.
