NL Hydro is warning customers of a potential scam making the rounds.

The utility says it has received a number of reports related to texts being sent that claim to be an electronic money transfer from NL Hydro.

The texts are not from NL Hydro and the utility warns that it does not send e-transfers like that.

It advises anyone who may get a suspicious text not to reply, don’t click any links and never share personal or payment information.
