COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) confirmed four new cases of measles in Spartanburg County this week, bringing the state’s total to 37 cases in 2025, including 34 linked to the ongoing Upstate outbreak.
DPH officials said all four new cases were close contacts of known infections and that no new public exposures have been identified. The agency said it continues to rely on isolation and quarantine measures for unvaccinated individuals who have been exposed, emphasizing that these steps remain key to preventing further community spread.
