FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — An investigator within the Department of Human Services in Fayetteville was arrested after allegedly sharing multiple videos depicting child sex abuse.

According to a preliminary arrest document from the Washington County Prosecutor's Office, Alejandro Hernandez was arrested on Oct. 30.

The investigation began after a cyber tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported that a social media account under the name Juan Gonzales had uploaded CSAM.

CSAM, or child sexual abuse material, is the preferred term used to describe images and videos of child abuse, replacing “child pornography,” which fails to convey the harm involved.
