PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- All Hallows Eve falls this year on a Friday, which means more time for the kiddos to get candy and more time for grown-ups to have a bit of fun.
As the sun goes down, trick-or-treaters will be out en masse, so motorists need to pay extra attention, as do those ghouls and goblins out walking the neighborhoods.
And of course, adults who choose to enjoy the holiday should be careful as well. Many police departments will be out with extra patrols to make sure everyone's safe.
With rhyming slogans like "Drive high and get a DUI" or "Drive sober or get pulled over," police agencies hope the message is clear -- don't be impaired while behind the wheel.
