ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – It is almost time for seniors in high school to submit their college applications, and they're probably stressed out and feel some level of anxiety facing the unknown.

Emma Ledgerwood and fellow senior at Our Lady of Mercy School, Abigail Wake, are both the eldest children in their respective families. So, they were glad for support and guidance from their college counselor throughout the application process.

"It was really beneficial to be able to ask him questions whenever we need to," said Ledgerwood. Wake says having a counselor "really helped me find out what I liked and what I didn't like."
