Trinity Christian capped senior night with two big wins Thursday, defeating Mt. Paran and Hiram to continue their late-season momentum.
Against Mt. Paran, the Lady Lions adjusted to a clock-draining offensive style that relied on multiple pitches downfield. Trinity’s defense stopped the Eagles on the opening drive before quarterback Anna Grace Moore connected with senior Leighanna Beatenbough for the game’s first score.
Mt. Paran tied the game at 7-7 before halftime, but the Lions answered with a strong second half that included a deep touchdown pass from Moore to Anna Rife and a pick-six by Campbell McInvale, sealing a 26-7 victory.
Trinity’s second matchup against Hiram proved to be a defensive battle. The Lions trailed 6-0 at halftime against a fast, athletic opponent, with key stops
