ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Cora's Place is a local thrift store in Rockville, and it normally helps the community by selling items at a discounted price, but food, not clothes, seems to be more of a hot ticket item, as the government shutdown reaches its 31st day.

Coressa Clark is the owner of Cora's Place, and she knows helping out the community during these tough times is very important.

"We're here for the community and the members," Clark said. "There is real food insecurities here, and I think it's necessary that, you know, we offer this service. A lot of our customers, I'm sure are getting benefits through them and our community member, we're here them."
