UPDATE (9:00 p.m. EDT) — According to the Crawford County Sheriff, William Rutan, while serving a search warrant at a home south of Palestine, Illinois, officials located a "suspicious item."

This prompted police to contact the state bomb squad. The squad found that the item was not a threat to the public.

55-year-old Leslie Fredrich was arrested and charged with failure to appear, resisting arrest and aggravated battery on an officer.
