GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) -- City leaders announced that new security cameras will be installed along main streets in downtown Gaffney with the goal of providing an extra level of security.

13 cameras will be installed on Limestone, Wall, and Perry streets in Gaffney, with two others that can be moved around if there is an uptick in incidents.

Assistant City Administrator Jamie Caggiano said this initiative came after the city's Main Street Director applied for a grant, which provided the city with $150,000 for downtown revitalization, including some funds for the cameras.
