SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO/AP) – Louis Golus of Lake Andes, S.D. was in Sioux Falls Friday on a mission: to help pick up some potatoes.

"Oh, it's an honor," Golus said in response. "It's really an honor to help the people, help whoever in need."
Golus is a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, and the potatoes will eventually be available in Marty, Wagner and Lake Andes for anyone the produce can benefit.
"Going to distribute them among our tribal people and whoever else needs them," Golus said.
The Faith Temple Food Giveaway, which distributes food every Friday in Sioux Falls, is receiving at least 200,000 pounds of potatoes. The giveaway gave the Yankton Sioux Tribe a call, and some of the potatoes are going to the tribe.
