ALBERT LEA, Minn.- Ruby's Pantry will be reopening for the first time since it parted ways with United Methodist Church in August of 2024 at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Starting at 8:45 a.m. cars can line up to pay $25 for over $170 of groceries including chicken, vegetables, dry foods, frozen foods, toilet paper and other supplies.

Rick Christensen, one of the organizers says he's excited to get the food pantry running again.

"We were hoping to get this up sooner, but simply the cars and the logistics of the space that is required to host this is something else," Christensen said.

The pantry has already recruited over 30 volunteers to help run it on the first Saturday of every month.

It's looking for around 20 more to be fully staffed.
