JACKSONVILLE, Ala. —

Former Tennessee Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt may be headed to Jacksonville.

According to a statement from the university, the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has approved Jax State's request to hire Pruitt in a limited, non-coaching analyst role within the program.

The statement also reads that following a formal show-cause hearing held on Oct. 23, the Committee determined Jax State demonstrated "sufficient cause" to modify the remaining terms of Pruitt's six-year show-cause order.

The modified terms apply exclusively to Jax State through the duration of Pruitt's show-cause period.
