In a significant ruling, the Karnataka High Court has permitted a woman residing in the United States to record her examination-in-chief and be cross-examined by her husband through video conferencing from her home. The order came in a criminal case involving allegations of cruelty and unnatural offences under Sections 498A and 377 of the Indian Penal Code , as well as offences under the IT Act, 2000.
