Cape Fear came into Friday night's competition at Pate Stadium without a conference title in almost a decade and left as Tri-County champions after defeating Scotland 12-7.

Colts junior running back Tai Phillips finished the regular season with one touchdown performance, while sophomore quarterback Tres Daughtry filled in for Geronimo Sanchez, who served a 1-game suspension for being ejected in last week's win.
