‘Twas the night before Florida-Georgia, when all through Jacksonville

Not a tailgate was sleeping —fans ready for the thrill.

The flags were hung from their RVs with care.

In hopes that a victory soon would be there.

From tailgates to taverns old stories were spun,

Of historic comebacks and seasons hard-won.

Respect passed like a handshake, a smile, a nod

Two fanbases united by love for the squad.

‘Twas the night before the Florida-Georgia— the city alight,

Waiting together for Saturday’s 3:30 fight.
