NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a barricaded suspect situation involving a man on Friday, Oct. 31.

According to the NOPD, the incident happened inside a business at the intersection of Canal and Galvez after 8:30 p.m.

When Frist District officers arrived, they took the man into custody around 8:45 p.m.

The NOPD advises citizens to avoid this area at this time.
